Motion Control is a breakthrough AI video feature that lets you take any still image — a photo, illustration, game character, or AI-generated portrait — and bring it to life by transferring the exact movements from a reference video. If someone is dancing in the video, your image dances. If they wave, your character waves. The AI understands human body motion and re-renders the scene with your character performing identical gestures, expressions, and poses. This unlocks entirely new creative workflows for content creators, animators, and social media producers.

How it works

Four steps. Under a minute.

1

Upload your image

Choose a character image — a photo, portrait, or illustration. The character should have clear body proportions and be visible in the frame.

2

Upload reference video

Select a video showing the movements you want to transfer. Works best with full-body or upper-body movements and clear visibility.

3

Configure options

Choose character orientation mode, toggle original audio, and optionally add a text prompt to guide the generation.

4

Generate your video

Hit generate and wait a few minutes. The AI creates a new video with your character performing the exact motions from the reference.

Perfect for

Social media content

Make your brand mascot, avatar, or profile photo dance to trending sounds. Create viral content without filming yourself.

Character animation

Bring game characters, illustrations, or AI-generated portraits to life with realistic human movements.

Meme creation

Take any popular meme face or character and make them perform dances, reactions, or gestures for hilarious content.

Content repurposing

Transfer the same choreography or gestures to different characters, creating multiple variations from one reference video.

Frequently asked questions

What plan do I need for Motion Control?
Motion Control is available exclusively on the Pro plan ($79/mo). You can view the demo and feature details on any plan.
How long does generation take?
Generation typically takes 2-5 minutes depending on the video length and complexity. You can navigate away and check back — your result will be saved.
What video formats and lengths are supported?
Upload MP4, MOV, or WebM videos. Maximum video length is 10 seconds in image orientation mode and 30 seconds in video orientation mode.
What kind of images work best?
Images with clear body proportions, minimal occlusion, and the character occupying more than 5% of the image area work best. Real photos, AI portraits, and illustrations all work.
What's the difference between image and video orientation modes?
In 'video' orientation, the output character's pose matches the reference video — ideal for complex motions and dances. In 'image' orientation, the character maintains the reference image's facing direction — better for camera-tracking shots.
Can I keep the original audio from the reference video?
Yes. The 'Keep original sound' option is enabled by default. Toggle it off if you want a silent output that you can add your own audio to.
